Appliance repair in Eagle, straight up Eagle Road from the shop

Eagle kitchens are bigger, the refrigerators are often built into the cabinetry, and there is frequently a second dishwasher and a third refrigerator in the garage.

The route

Working Eagle

Eagle Rd leaves the shop at Overland as a wide commuter road, runs straight north through Meridian past The Village and Chinden, and crosses the Boise River into downtown Eagle with the foothills climbing ahead and Eagle Island off to the left. Eagle Rd takes us north into the Legacy and Lakemoor streets and out toward Beacon Light Rd, Floating Feather Rd covers the wide lots in between, and the Two Rivers and Banbury neighborhoods sit right off the highway near Eagle Island State Park. The trucks are out here most days, because Eagle homes tend to own more appliances than average and each one eventually needs a hand. Monday to Saturday, with no distance surcharge from Old State St to the Eagle foothills.

Eagle housing runs from 1990s ranch homes on acre lots to new estates in the foothills, and the kitchens follow the money: Sub-Zero and Thermador refrigeration, Wolf and Viking ranges, Miele and Bosch dishwashers, double wall ovens, panel-ready everything. The plainer Whirlpool, GE and Samsung sets live in the garage and the guest suite. Water is the constant. Eagle draws from wells, some municipal and some private, and it comes out very hard, so nearly every home has a softener and nearly every softener eventually runs low. Scale narrows the fill valve on a built-in ice maker as readily as on a builder model. Add dust off the foothills on condenser grilles and a garage refrigerator that faces single-digit January nights, and the pattern of Eagle calls writes itself.

What Eagle calls about

ApplianceWhat we see most here
RefrigeratorsBuilt-in Sub-Zero and Thermador units with a condenser coil felted in dust behind the top grille or a failed condenser fan; French-door units in the guest kitchen with a defrost problem; garage refrigerators in Legacy and Two Rivers that stop in the cold.
DryersLarge-capacity gas dryers in Eagle laundry rooms with a weak igniter or coil set; long vents through the attic that fill with lint and foothills dust; moisture sensors coated with softener sheet residue so loads stop early.
WashersFront-loaders with bearings worn by years of very hard water; inlet valves and screens narrowed by scale; drain pumps blocked by grit; Speed Queen and Miele machines that need parts most trucks do not carry, and ours does.
DishwashersBosch and Miele units with a leak sensor tripped by a tired door seal; heating elements and spray arms scaled after a softener ran dry; second dishwashers in the butler’s pantry that sat unused and now will not drain.
Ranges & ovensWolf and Viking ranges with a burner igniter that will not spark or an oven that drifts off temperature; double wall ovens with a failed convection fan or bake element; Thermador cooktops with a dead zone.
Ice makersFill valves in built-in refrigerators choked with scale; frozen fill tubes behind panel-ready doors; cloudy, hollow cubes from a half-open valve; under-counter modules in outdoor kitchens that stopped harvesting.
Dishwasher

Dishwasher · Two Rivers

A Bosch dishwasher in a Two Rivers kitchen, halting mid-cycle and flashing a leak warning with nothing on the floor. The base pan held a puddle from a door seal that had gone flat in one corner. Seal replaced, pan dried and sensor reset, heating element checked for scale, and a full cycle run with the panel back in place.

Fridge

Fridge · Eagle foothills

A built-in refrigerator in a foothills kitchen, warming on the fresh-food side despite a compressor that ran without pause. Behind the top grille the condenser coil wore a blanket of dust off the hills, and the condenser fan turned slowly under the meter. Coil cleaned, fan motor replaced, temperatures logged. The homeowner now knows how the grille comes off.

Dryer

Dryer · Legacy

A gas dryer in a Legacy laundry room, drum spinning, clothes cold. The igniter glowed bright and the burner never lit, which pointed at the gas valve coils. We replaced the coil set from the truck, then found the attic vent half full of lint and cleared it to the roof cap. The moisture sensor got a wipe too.

Washer

Washer · Floating Feather Rd

A front-load washer on an acre lot off Floating Feather, on a private well, groaning through spin and leaving a rusty ring under the drum. The bearings had failed and the spider arm was pitted through by years of very hard water. We showed the owner the parts, wrote one number, and rebuilt the drum with new bearings and seal.

Eagle questions

Do you repair the built-in refrigerators and ranges common in Eagle?

Yes. We service and repair Sub-Zero, Wolf, Thermador, Viking, Miele, JennAir and Dacor across Eagle, from Two Rivers to the foothills. We are an independent shop, not a factory representative, and we say so. The $99 diagnostic is the same as for any other machine, and the written quote comes before any part is ordered or any panel comes off.

My Eagle home is on a private well. Does that change the repair?

It changes what fails. Well water in Eagle is very hard and often carries iron, so inlet valves, ice maker fill valves and dishwasher heaters scale faster than they do on Boise city water. We check the softener setting when it is relevant, clean or replace what scale has narrowed, and tell you plainly what will happen if the softener runs dry again.

Can you handle the second and third appliances in an Eagle house in one visit?

Usually. If the guest-suite refrigerator and the kitchen dishwasher are both acting up, say so when you book and we allow the time. Each machine gets its own diagnostic and its own written number, so you can approve one and not the other. Truck stock covers most common parts, and anything ordered comes back with no second trip fee.

How soon can you reach Eagle for a warm refrigerator?

Warm refrigerators go to the front of the line and Eagle is a straight shot north up Eagle Rd, so same-day is usual. Tell us whether it is a built-in, a kitchen French-door or a garage unit so the truck carries the right fan motors and controls. We meter the compressor, fans and defrost circuit on arrival and give you one written price before any work.
