A river name for a whole-valley company.

Every town we serve touches the same water, so the river seemed the right thing to be named after — and the right way to run a shop from Meridian: one set of rules from Caldwell to Harris Ranch.

On the truck · Boise

Boise River ApplianceFix started with one technician, one truck and a decision to fix six machines properly instead of thirty machines badly. The shop is on Overland Rd in southeast Meridian, just west of Eagle Rd and a minute from the I-84 interchange, right where Meridian ends and Boise's Bench and West Boise begin. That puts Meridian, West Boise, the Bench, Kuna and Southeast Boise on our shortest runs, Eagle and Nampa a straight shot north and west, and Downtown, the North End, Garden City, Star and Caldwell still well inside the half-hour ring.

What makes this valley its own repair market is mostly under the sink and in the garage. The water is hard from the mountains down, so fill valves, dishwasher elements and ice-maker lines scale up years before they should. Garages swing from single digits in a January inversion to triple digits in late July, and the second refrigerator out there quits in both seasons. Field dust and subdivision construction fill dryer vents and condenser coils. We stock the truck for exactly those failures and we talk about them on every page of this site, because they are what we see.

How a visit goes

You call or send the form. We give you a real window and text before we roll up. The technician puts a meter on the machine and names the fault in plain words — a scaled inlet valve, a thermal fuse, a relay — then writes the repair figure on paper with the $99 already inside it. You say yes or no. Yes usually means the part comes off the truck and the machine runs a full cycle before we leave; no means $99 is the whole bill and the diagnosis is yours. Either way the work area is left as we found it.

What we deliberately leave alone

Microwaves, wine coolers, standalone ice machines, water softeners, water heaters and commercial kitchens. Say what you have and we will tell you on the phone whether it is ours. The six we keep — dryers, washers, refrigerators and freezers, stoves and ovens, dishwashers and the ice makers inside refrigerators — get the whole truck and all of the training hours.

Landlords, managers and shift workers

A large share of the valley rents, and a large share works nights at Micron, the hospitals, the airport and the warehouses off I-84. So the tenant hosts the visit while the owner approves the figure by text and gets the invoice and coverage by email, and the schedule keeps early and late windows six days a week for people who sleep during business hours.
